Songs of Praise in the Park 2015 - posted 17th Sept 2015

The sun shone, the music played, we sang the hymns and a happy time was enjoyed by all. Songs of Praise in the Park, hosted by St. Luke’s, was once again well supported by people from all three of our churches and we even had holiday makers from Manchester who joined us.
The poems reflecting Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter were thoughtfully read, and Canon Ian, who officiated, read a piece from Ecclesiastes which fitted the subject of the Four Seasons and “a time for everything” perfectly.
Our 9 hymns also picked up this theme and were enthusiastically sung. The collection taken which amounted to €160 will be given to the Mayor of Polis to assist the poorest families in the Polis area.
