Thanks to everyone who came and filled St Luke’s Church for our Carols for Christmas on Saturday 15th December.
The carols were sung heartily, readers entertained us, the delicious Christmas food disappeared quickly and the mulled wine was a great success. Best of all was the fact that about half of the people who came were not regular churchgoers, so our outreach really seems to have worked. We raised three hundred euros with a retiring collection for the Dreamland Mission Hospital, Kenya, a charity dear to our hearts. Well done to you all.

Very grateful thanks and many congratulations to everyone involved with the Fayre this year.
It was a wonderful occasion and a truly memorable day, the stalls looked fantastic and so many people commented on the excellent quality of the goods we had on offer. Despite the dreadful weather on the Tuesday the sun shone on us for a short period when the Fayre was open and although the attendance was 20% down on last year we still managed to make money for our charities and I am delighted to be able to tell you that we hope to distribute in excess of €8,000 to the list of worthy causes. Thank you all for making it possible for us to help others who are far less fortunate than ourselves.

Good food and good company make for a very good night out.
This is the verdict of the 70 guests who attended the annual ACP Dinner Dance at the Kamares Club on Friday 9 November. The event included a superb buffet, a spectacular raffle and raised nearly €1,400 for church funds.

The 3rd Blessing of Animals took place in the grounds of Ayia Kyriaki Church on the Feast of St. Francis ( 4th October ).
This is a joint service with the Latin Catholics and Father Jim and The Reverend Canon Anthony gave each of the 18 dogs and their owners an individual blessing following a short service . We were extremely happy this year to welcome to the service our Bishop, The Right Reverend Michael Lewis, Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf, with his wife Julia and one of their dogs Hew. Father Carlos senior Priest from the Catholic Church was also present. All dogs were very well behaved and seemed to enjoy meeting their friends again.
