A message from Rev. Andrew

Dear Parishioners and Friends,
With the tightening of restrictions, once more, our three churches will be closed for the Sundays of 2nd May and 9th May. In addition, there will be no midweek communion service at Ayia Kyriaki on Wednesday 28th April and on Wednesday 5th May. We would hope to be able to reopen for SUNDAY services on Sunday 16th May – regulations permitting.
We will revert to a Zoom service, of Morning Worship, beginning at 10.30am on each of the above Sundays. If you have previously received notification about joining a Zoom service, your name will still be on the distribution list for details of joining. If you have not received previous notifications, and would like to join us, please contact Di Sylvester, our honorary parish secretary by using the contact form HERE
Ascension Day Service (Thursday 13th May): as it is unlikely that we will be allowed to gather in numbers at outdoor locations in the week following the review of the restrictions, I have decided that we will not hold this service in the Peyia Forest. If regulations allow, it may be possible to hold a service during the morning, on Ascension Day, at Ayia Kyriaki. We will wait to hear further details concerning restrictions and, if necessary, those on our mailing list will be emailed with further information concerning this service.
On Sunday 2nd May, Reverend Ken will lead the service of Morning Worship and Reverend Andrew will take a Sunday off. On Sunday 9th May it will be Reverend Ken’s turn to take the Sunday off and Reverend Andrew will lead Morning Worship.
I appreciate that these restrictions will cause a measure of frustration. I ask you to be patient with them and urge you, if you are within the appropriate age range to obtain your vaccination. This is important. As we begin this further lockdown, please continue to pray for each other and for the life of our parish. The Pandemic Appeal continues over this period – please pray for a generous response and please consider your part in it. Thank you to those who have contributed, already.
Finally, please remember that both Reverend Andrew and Reverend Ken can travel, legally, on urgent parish business over these two weeks. Please call on us if you need to.
