We're delighted to announce that Revd Nabil Shehadi will be our Guest Speaker at both services on Sunday 22 March 2026. Nabil, who will be accompanied by his wife, Sarah, are no strangers to many of you as they often worship with us when visiting Cyprus. Can you spot where the above 'selfie' was taken?

Background Information.
Nabil is Lebanese/British and spent 29 years in the UK where he trained as an architect and practised for 15 years, alongside lay ministry in several churches. He retrained in theology at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, and was ordained in the diocese of London in 2002.

While serving a three-year curacy in London, he was part of a team that launched Arabic Alpha in the Middle East. He moved to Beirut in 2005 and served as vicar of All Saints Beirut for 10 years while continuing to develop Arabic Alpha.
Nabil took up the full-time role of Alpha Levant Coordinator in September 2015. He describes himself as international, interdisciplinary and interdenominational, with a passion for Jesus and his church.

Sarah is British/Canadian/Swiss and almost trilingual like Nabil. She trained as an interior designer and practised for 20 years in Geneva and London. She was on the leadership team of All Saints Beirut. Today, she manages the hospitality and administrative side of the Shehadi mission (including accounts and fundraising), as well as working out strategy and running courses with Nabil.

ORIGINAL POST (10 February 2026)
It is with great sadness that we announce that Beatrice Hind went to be with the Lord on 6 February 2026. Beatrice was the much loved husband of Derek and a dear mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Beatrice was a long time member of Anglican Church of Paphos and, along with her late husband Derek, served at Saint Stephen's for many years before returning to the UK.  Beatrice is fondly remembered in the church and community of Paphos, her legacy lives on in our hearts and minds.

Ven Paul Writes: "I've actually known Beatrice for over forty years ago when she was involved in Baptist churches in Sunderland and in planting a church in Gilley Law the village next to New Silksworth, the colliery village, where I grew up - before moving away in the 80's when I joined the Prison Service. The irony is that Beatrice and Derek moved to Frinton and we spent many summers there on holiday staying at my friend from college who was the curate at Saint Mary's! We could have reconnected at any time - if only I'd known!  We finally reconnected when I was posted to ACP in January 2024.  Beatrice exchanged emails and DM's on a regular basis, she often left comments on my Facebook page and I know she enjoyed reading my online sermons and website articles!
