Although we may not wish to acknowledge it, at least not often, all of us will die one day. When this happens, it will be helpful for your family, or next of kin, and close friends to know what your wishes are concerning your funeral, so that they can carry these out. It is with great sadness that I inform you that Canon Anthony died peacefully at his home in Paphos on Monday 24th May. He was taken unwell in early March and, after a period of respite care in a local hospice, was then wonderfully well looked after by a group of professional carers in his own home. His funeral will take place at the historic church of Ayia Kyriaki, by St Paul’s pillar, in Paphos at 1.30pm on Saturday 5th June. His body will be interred at a local cemetery and a reception, will follow, at Gustoso Restaurant, in Paphos. All are welcome to attend. If you are coming to the reception, please would you kindly register your intention with the parish secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
Reverend Andrew Burtt, Parish Priest.
