The service of pet blessing with some 30 in attendance, was held in the wooded area beside Ayia Kyriaki Church. This is the day on which Saint Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals, is remembered and is also International Animal Day. The weather was bright and sunny, not too hot with a gentle breeze . 14 dogs of all shapes and sizes were blessed by Father Jim, one of the Latin Catholic Priests and Reverend Paul Carr, the Anglican Chaplain. Other dogs were remembered and short prayers and readings were said.
