Paula and I won't be sending Christmas Cards this year, instead, we will make a donation to our favourite charity the Purple Community Fund working with disadvantaged families in the Philippines.

May the Joy of the Angels,
the Eagerness of the Shepherds,
the Perseverance of the Wise Men,
the Obedience of Joseph and Mary,
the Peace of Jesus and God’s richest blessing,
fill your hearts and lives this Christmas season,
and for all that a New Year will bring.

The Longest Night: A Service of Hope and Healing

The Longest Night is Friday 20 December 2024. Traditionally, churches have 'A Service of Hope and Healing' on this day for those who are struggling with bereavement, ill health and don't really feel like celebrating.

This is a self- led service and it should take between 20-25 minutes which I hope might be helpful if you are going through a tough time.

Daily Reflections for the Season of Advent 2024

During the season of Advent, we turn our hearts and minds towards the light that broke into the world’s darkness: ‘Jesus the Light of the World’ who changed everything. There is a short reflection and a prayer for each day which will help you to fix your eyes on Jesus and reflect on how you can be the light in a world that so desperately needs it.

Whatever challenges 2024 might have brought your way, Christmas is Good News to each of us, and is still worth celebrating, as we remember how Jesus came into this world to change the way we live. "The heart of Christmas is the simple story of God sending His Son, Jesus, to be our Saviour."
