Taize Service in Ayia Napa

Christ Church Ayia Napa warmly invites you to a Taizé Service, a gentle and prayerful time of worship organised by the Anglican and Scandinavian communities, on Wednesday 26 November at 2pm.

During the service, we will sing some of the most meaningful and beloved Taizé chants, including ‘Ubi Caritas’, ‘In the Lord I’ll Be Ever Thankful’ and others that open the heart to peace and reflection.

All are warmly welcome to join us for this beautiful time of shared worship and contemplation.

The Taizé tradition began in the mid-20th century in the small village of Taizé (France) where an ecumenical community of brothers was founded to promote reconciliation and unity among Christians. Today, Taizé prayers are held all over the world, bringing people of different backgrounds together in a spirit of simplicity and prayer.

At the heart of Taizé worship lies the repetitive singing of short verses from Scripture that allows the words of faith to take root deeply within us.
