CONGRATULATIONS TO REVD LESLEY CARR On her Ordination as a distinctive deacon at Saint Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 20 September. Lesley is a self-supporting part-time deacon and will serve the parish 2.5 days a week and 2 Sunday’s a month. Lesley will play a full role in the life of St Luke’s, St Stephen’s and the parish - though there are restrictions at Ayia Kyriaki. Lesley’s contact details can be found on page 3 - do make use of Lesley being with us. Of course, we are also fortunate, and very grateful, to have Revd Andrew, Revd William and Revd Jill with us as they faithfully continue to serve the parish.
REVD LESLEY WRITES My Ordination day seemed so far away, and then all of a sudden it was here. Filled with a mixture of emotions and yet very excited to be ordained, sharing this event with my wonderful family, dear friends here and from England. Bishop Sean led the service; not only was the service full of wonderful liturgy, but it was also filled with encouragement for me and for everyone listening. Bishop Sean's address felt like it had been written specifically for me. Very special indeed. Thank you to all who attended and for your support and love, especially to St Stephen's, St Luke's, and Ayia Kiriaki. Thank you to the ministry team, and to Georgia for her gift of organisation and kindness. A special thanks to Bishop Sean and to the Venerable Paul Carr, with whom I look forward to working with. More details and photos can be found on the Diocesan website Revd Lesley ordained to Distinctive Diaconate – Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf
