Prayers for Saint Stephen's 25th Anniversary on Christmas Eve 2025

24/12/2025

Heavenly Father we ‘thank you’ for your faithfulness and grace to the congregation here at St Stephen’s over the past 25 years.

We remember with gratitude those whose vision it was to plant a church here in Tala and all those who made it happen, for all the sacrifices that have been made to make the vision a living reality and for all the wonderful memories that have been made over the years.

We remember all those who over the years have served your church in various practical ways, all those who have inspired us especially when times were difficult and who held us together and helped us to remain strong and committed to serving you in this place.

We thank you for the growth that we have seen in the people who worship here through the efforts of your ministers and lay people who have a passion for this church to be a beacon to you and a bold witness of the love we have for you, expanding out in order to reach those who do not yet know you and to always bring glory to your name in everything they do.

May we continue the work of those who have gone before us, helping us to serve in humility in word and deed and, with the power of the Holy Spirit, to strengthen our resolve to make the future of St Stephen’s be one where it is a blessing and a comfort to all who walk through our doors and all those we reach out to in your name.

May the lives of all those who worship at St Stephen’s always reflect you, your joy, your peace and your love, making us strong in all that we do in the future and may we continue to grow in in our love for you.

In the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Ann Bailey
