Introducing Lesley Carr

We are pleased to announce that Lesley Carr (no relation to Revd Paul) will be joining ACP in September 2025 as a part-time self-supporting curate. Lesley has been interviewed by Bishop Sean, Archdeacon Christopher and Director of Ministry, Fr Kent Middleton, as well as Revd Paul - and all sense the call of God on her life to transfer from Gloucester Diocese to serve her curacy in Paphos. This is an exciting ‘first’ for ACP. Lesley will be a permanent Deacon and will serve in the parish once she is Ordained. Lesley and her husband Peter will be moving to Peyia in July.  

LESLEY'S ORDINATION If you are interested in attending Lesley’s ordination at St Paul’s Cathedral, Nicosia on Saturday 20 September 2025 at 2.00 pm and would like to book a place on a coach, please let Chris Hoskins know.  Once we have an idea of numbers we’ll know what coach we’ll need and a rough idea of the cost per person. Do pray for Lesley as she prepares for her ordination.

​Hello. My name is Lesley Carr. I was born in 1962 in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England, and have lived in the centre of Gloucester for most of my life. I am married to Pete, and together, we have raised four children and now enjoy the company of our eight grandchildren.

I have spent my career working in mental health and later in social work, supporting people through life’s challenges, showing empathy, and providing steady care. I retired in 2022. I have been an active church member since 1999, and have remained active in my community as the safeguarding officer and pastoral lead.

Pete and I are moving to Cyprus with Bear, our much-loved French bulldog.  I enjoy watching rugby with Pete, experimenting with crafts like painting and ceramics, and thinking up ideas for the garden, whether or not anything gets planted! Is another question!!. I sincerely appreciate people and am always happy to sit, listen, and hear their stories.

We look forward to meeting all of you and becoming part of this amazing church family. Also, alongside Reverend Paul, I look forward to being a minister who will work alongside you all.
