ORIGINAL POST (10 February 2026) It is with great sadness that we announce that Beatrice Hind went to be with the Lord on 6 February 2026. Beatrice was the much loved husband of Derek and a dear mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Beatrice was a long time member of Anglican Church of Paphos and, along with her late husband Derek, served at Saint Stephen's for many years before returning to the UK. Beatrice is fondly remembered in the church and community of Paphos, her legacy lives on in our hearts and minds. Ven Paul Writes: "I've actually known Beatrice for over forty years ago when she was involved in Baptist churches in Sunderland and in planting a church in Gilley Law the village next to New Silksworth, the colliery village, where I grew up - before moving away in the 80's when I joined the Prison Service. The irony is that Beatrice and Derek moved to Frinton and we spent many summers there on holiday staying at my friend from college who was the curate at Saint Mary's! We could have reconnected at any time - if only I'd known! We finally reconnected when I was posted to ACP in January 2024. Beatrice exchanged emails and DM's on a regular basis, she often left comments on my Facebook page and I know she enjoyed reading my online sermons and website articles!
